Overview
Walkers Hill Vineyard is Western Australia's most inland vineyard, located in the Eastern Wheatbelt amidst rolling farmland. Established in 1995 by Bill and Angela Walker, the vineyard began with an acre of Shiraz vines planted on ironstone-rich soil. Despite initial skepticism about grape cultivation in the area, the Walkers expanded their vineyard to include Chardonnay vines, producing their first vintage in 1998. The 2002 Shiraz earned a Gold medal at the Mt Barker QANTAS Wine Awards, marking the beginning of numerous accolades for their wines. In 2011, Tania and Jared Bray acquired the vineyard, restoring its original name and continuing its legacy. The vineyard offers wine tastings, sales, and meals by prior arrangement in a rustic setting that reflects the region's natural beauty.
Located in the Eastern Wheatbelt, outside the official Great Southern and other WA wine regions, making it Western Australia’s most inland vineyard.
