Twice Tyger

Twice Tyger is the passion project of entrepreneur Billoo Rataul, who founded the estate through Squaw Stone Farms LLC in 2019. Located at the eastern base of the Santa Cruz Mountains in Morgan Hill’s Paradise Valley, the vineyard sits on a riparian corridor near Machado Creek. Rataul purchased the historic Ward family farmland in 2006 and planted the first estate vines in 2017, with additional home-grown varietals starting in 2010.

The estate embraces regenerative farming and a holistic approach: sheep graze under vine cover crops, native grasses and wildflowers flourish, and bees, birds, and wildlife roam unimpeded—symbolizing a “complete and holistic ecosystem” akin to the tiger imagery evoked by the winery’s name. Vines include Roussanne, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Pinot Noir (Mount Eden, Pommard, Dijon 115 clones), Zinfandel replacing Montepulciano, Petit Verdot, and more across a 30‑acre property.

In April 2025, Twice Tyger unveiled its inaugural estate wines during the Morgan Hill Wine Stroll—showcasing a 2023 Estate Roussanne white and a 2022 Estate Red Blend, with Bobby Graviano on hand to pour. The vineyard’s terroir-driven red blends (Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petite Sirah) are naturally fermented, aged in French oak, and lauded for bold fruit, savory nuances, and balanced structure—e.g., the 2022 Cabernet Blend praised as “spicy, bold, succulent” and high‑value.
