Overview

Lentedal Vineyard Estate, founded by David and Janet Hann in 2009, is a family-owned boutique winery located in Marybrook, Western Australia. The name "Lentedal," meaning "Spring Valley" in Dutch, honors Janet's great-great-uncle who, in 1919, purchased a farm in South Africa to provide a home for his orphaned nieces. The estate spans 50 acres, with 15 acres under vine, cultivating both classic varieties like Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, and Muscat, as well as alternative varieties such as Nebbiolo, Tempranillo, and Pinot Gris. The vineyard benefits from fertile 'Marybrook soils,' rich red/brown clay known for high fertility, allowing the vines to thrive with minimal intervention. Visitors to the cellar door and café are welcomed by Janet and can enjoy wine tastings, wood-fired pizzas, and interactions with farm animals including horses, camels, pigs, and peacocks.
