Leal Vineyards

Léal Vineyards' 45 acre estate is nestled in the rolling east foothills of Hollister where the microclimate makes for an ideal grape growing region. Morning coastal fog blankets the vines, then dissipates to warm, sunny afternoons, and cools in the evening with winds from the coast. Estate varietals include Chardonnay, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Syrah, Petite Verdot, Mourvedre, and Grenache.

This labor of love began back in 1998 with the vision of Frank Léal and David Griffith (Griff) to create a premier selection of crafted wines through careful planning, attention to detail, and hands-on involvement. After searching for the perfect location to turn their dream to reality, they purchased the first 45 acres, convinced Hollister was prime to become the next prominent wine growing region.
