Lava Cap Winery is a family owned and operated winery located in the Sierra Foothills of Northern California. We implement old world labor-intensive techniques and sustainable agricultural practices to hand-craft our wines. Our small but dedicated team works passionately to produce full flavor, texture-driven wine.

Lava Cap Winery is located in Placerville, CA nestled in the Sierra Foothills. It is situated about 45 miles east of Sacramento, just 5 minutes off Highway 50. Light picnic foods available for purchase.

The tasting room is open 11 AM to 5 PM daily except New Year's Day, Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
