Larnook Wines is a boutique winery located in the iconic McLaren Vale wine region of Australia, specifically in Blewitt Springs. The winery is dedicated to producing small-batch, premium wines that reflect the unique terroir of their vineyard and the surrounding natural habitat. The property sits at 140 meters elevation on deep sandy soils and is planted with old bush vine Grenache dating back to 1922 and Shiraz from 1999, two of McLaren Vale’s signature grape varieties. The winemaking philosophy embraces sustainability, with minimal tractor passes, reduced fungicide use, minimal irrigation, and a strong focus on encouraging biodiversity. The labels feature illustrations of native flora found on the property, emphasizing the connection between the wines and their natural environment. Larnook Wines offers a considered collection of wines crafted by winemaker Alexia Roberts, whose decades of viticultural and winemaking experience in McLaren Vale inform the expressive and regionally reflective character of the wines. The winery also honors the Traditional Custodians of the land, acknowledging their ancestral connection and paying respects to their elders past, present, and emerging.
