Langmeil Winery

Langmeil Winery is a family-owned establishment located in the Barossa Valley, South Australia. The winery is renowned for its commitment to preserving old vines and producing premium wines that reflect the region's rich history and distinctive terroir. Notably, Langmeil is home to what is believed to be the world's oldest surviving Shiraz vineyard, The Freedom 1843, planted in 1843.

The winery's history dates back to 1842 when it was established as a trading village. In 1996, the Lindner family, whose Barossa heritage spans six generations, restored the derelict property, reviving the old buildings and vineyards. Today, Langmeil blends time-honored techniques with modern winemaking practices to craft wines that celebrate the Barossa way of life.
