Kingston Estate Wines

Kingston Estate is a large, family‑owned Australian winery with roots in grape growing dating back to the 1960s, but formally branded as Kingston Estate from 1979 onward. The founders, Sarantos (Steve) and Constantina (Nina) Moularadellis, emigrated from Greece and started with vineyard blocks in the Riverland region. Over time, their son Bill Moularadellis, after earning a degree in oenology in 1985, expanded both vineyards and winemaking operations.

Today, Kingston Estate owns over 3,000 hectares of vineyards across a diversified portfolio of regions in South Australia and some holdings in Victoria. Regions include the Riverland (where their main winery is located), Clare Valley, Adelaide Hills, Coonawarra, Mount Benson, Wrattonbully, etc.

They offer a wide range of wine styles: from entry‑level varietals (Sauvignon Blanc, Shiraz, Chardonnay, etc.) under the “Kingston Estate” label to more premium offerings in their “Echelon” range. The “Echelon” wines are made from hand‑selected parcels, often aged in oak hogsheads, with more care in winemaking.

They also do large scale wine making and bulk wine supply, with modern facilities, extensive storage capacity, and export markets. Their operations allow them flexibility: small‑batch premium wines in one part of the facility, higher volume wines elsewhere.
