Famille Mayard refers to a historic winemaking family in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, France, whose vineyards recently split into two distinct estates: Domaine Mayard, run by brothers Arthur & Hugo focusing on regenerative, low-intervention wines, and Clos du Calvaire, managed by Françoise Roumieux and her siblings, continuing the legacy of the original Vignobles Mayard, both known for traditional Rhône blends with old-vine Grenache, Mourvèdre, and Syrah. The family has generations of history, with the split in 2021 allowing the younger generation to modernise while honoring tradition and terroir, using organic methods and focusing on natural wine principles.
