Ernie Els Wines was founded in 1999 by South African golf legend Ernie Els, who developed a passion for fine wines during his extensive international travels. The winery is situated in the Helderberg region of Stellenbosch, renowned for its prime position offering panoramic views of Cape Town, Table Mountain, and the Helderberg Mountains. Since its official opening in 2005, the winery has focused on producing a range of award-winning wines, with a particular emphasis on Cabernet Sauvignon. Recent renovations have transformed the estate into an iconic symbol of the region, featuring a tasting room, trophy room, and a restaurant serving hearty farm-style cuisine.
