Bird in Hand Winery

Bird in Hand is a family-owned winery located in the Adelaide Hills wine region of South Australia. Founded in 1997 by viticulturist Andrew Nugent and his family, the winery is situated on an 80-acre estate that was formerly a dairy farm. The estate is named after the nearby Bird in Hand gold mine from the 19th century. Over the years, Bird in Hand has expanded its operations to include vineyards in Tasmania, specifically in Seymour on the east coast and the Tamar Valley region. The winery is committed to sustainable, cool-climate winemaking and has a strong focus on art and culture, featuring original works from local and international artists throughout its grounds.
